My Travel Footprints in Asia

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

This is a record of my travels in Asia — day trips and business trips excluded. All my journeys and travel routes are recorded with iPackTravel mobile app [Download Free - iOS only].

The footprints map above is created using "My Footprints"

I have not been travelling far and wider than I want to be, but it is a matter of what I want to achieve more than reaching the far corners. Nevertheless, I will still want to see the whole world in my lifetime. And it is just beginning. I will keep building this list with each journey I will be taking to see the world that I live in.

Why only Asia?

1. I have more leisure trips in Asia than any other places. Most of my trips outside Asia were for business and, technically, not considered as travelling. There are still a few more countries in East Asia that I have not visited.

2. It's nearer to my home country — Singapore. I can choose to travel over land or on water too, no need to always fly.

3. Singapore passport allows free visas to almost all the countries in Asia.

I will start with my first backpacking trip in 2005 as my memories and photos (using films) of all trips before 2005 are hazy. Also, tap on any links (e.g. "linked-text") to check out relevant articles from the trips.

Note: All expenses stated include air tickets, visa and travel insurance, if any. If you want to track your travel expenses too, download iTreasurer (iOS only).
