Huang Chao Teochew Noodle House (煌潮潮州面家) has a number of outlets in foodcourts across Singapore. One of its newer outlets is located in Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre. The noodle house served its own specialty noodle dish and a number of other noodle dishes (minced meat noodle, fishball noodle, traditional laksa, etc), fish porridges, seafood soups, Teochew dumplings soup, etc.

The Signature Noodle (招牌特制面), with either dry-style mee kia or mee pok, is served with all its fresh ingredients (a fried fishball, a meatball, lean meat slices, minced meat ball, a meat dumplings, pig liver slices, a poached egg) in a bowl of soup and garnished with wolf-berries, spring onions, fried pork lard and fried shallots. The mee kia / mee pok is dry-tossed in a vinegary sauce, with chilli (if opted for), and with same set of garnishes. The nice-tasting soup is flavoured by the ingredients that are boiled in it, not salty, and with mellow sweetness of the wolf-berries. This dish is nice to go for indeed.

The Teochew Fishball Minced Meat Noodle (鱼圆肉脞面) is served with a number of ingredients too, such as big fishballs, slices of fish cake, pig liver slices, minced meat and braised mushrooms, on mee pok (or any noodle preferred). The ingredients are fresh and the sauce used to toss the noodle is nicely-concocted and not salty. The accompanying soup is flavourful and not salty too. Nice!

Huang Chao Teochew Noodle House's other noodle dishes and fish porridges are more dishes to go for next.
