Hong Kong Cafe: Snack Baby Gelato @ Central

Snack Baby is a contemporary gelateria and bar in Central, Hong Kong, known for its extensive range of freshly-made lactose-free, dairy-free, and plant-based gelato options alongside traditional dairy flavours and cocktails. The setup ensures that individuals with lactose intolerance could enjoy high-quality, flavourful gelato without feeling left out. The Michelin-recommended cafe features a retro, mid-century Milan-inspired interior and is a great spot for relaxation.

Vegans and anyone who is lactose intolerant will adore Snack Baby's gelatos with animal-free (AF), lactose-free (LF) and nutty (N) options. Some of the flavours are really special and probably not available elsewhere.

I have a medium-size serving with 3 flavours in crunchy biscuit cone: Szechuan Chilli Mango, Lychee Meringue and Smokey Vanilla (from top to bottom). The Szechuan Chilli Mango has mellow flavour of Szechuan chilli, without its spiciness, and sweet mango. The creamy Lychee Meringue has a refreshing, distinctive flavour of lychee. The Smokey Vanilla has a distinct smokey flavour. The gelatos are not too sweet and delicious. Another nice thing is that the biscuit cone stays crunchy till the end without turning soggy.

Snack Baby's gelatos are really special and I will definitely go back for more on the next trip to Hong Kong.
