Bok's Kitchen by Hidden Chefs is hidden in the residential estate of Jurong West along Boon Lay Avenue. The cafe does not have a big signboard, so one will need to know its exact location to find it.
The chic cafe is very popular and usually packed on weekends. The best time to be there will be on weekdays when it just open at 11am, before the lunch crowd appears.
Unlike western cafes that serve western coffees, Bok's Kitchen serves traditional kopi and teh and other beverages including beers. The main focus is on the food that the cafe serves.
Probably the cafe's most popular dish, the Char Siew Rice Bowl is served with Bok's legendary char siew (barbecue pork), picked radish and a sous vide egg on flavoured rice. The roasted char siew has a smoky aroma and very tender. This tasty dish is definitely a must-try.
The Red Wine Stew Beef Bread Bowl is served with beef stew, that is slow-cooked in red wine sauce, in a bowl made of bread and with salad. It is a nice way to eat the beef stew with bread. The tender beef with faint winey aroma is delicious and further enhanced by the nice aroma of the bread.
The Smoked Salmon Breakfast Burger has slices of smoked salmon, scrambled eggs and green in a brioche bun and served with fries. It is a light meal great for breakfast.
The Fish & Chips is a classic dish with deep-fried fish fillet with homemade batter and served with fries and salad.
The Meatless Brekkie is served with creamy scrambled eggs on toast with hashbrown, salad, and sauteed spinach and mushrooms. It is a nice dish suitable for vegetarians and those who may want to skip meat for a change.
Bok's Kitchen is a nice cafe to go for its delicious food in the west part of Singapore.
