Golden Bowl 2.0 (金饭馆2.0) is located in a hidden corner in Mong Kok, very near Sum Hung Cuisine (深鸿私房菜). The restaurant specialises in roast meats and fried rice dishes and is very popular. Expect a long queue during meal times.

Golden Bowl 2.0 has quite a number of fried rice dishes with different ingredients and cooking styles. There are some noodle dishes and Chinese burgers too. For first-timers, the "Must-Try / Recommended" dishes are great as starters. Note that the dishes are cooked on orders and when the restaurant is packed, expect long waiting time.

The Baked Pork Chop Rice with Peach & Tomato (蜜桃鲜茄焗猪扒饭) has pork chop (in 2~3 pieces) laid on top of fried rice with egg, cuts of tomato and peach fruit under a layer of tomato sauce, and then baked. The peach gives the dish a nice peachy aroma and flavour — similar to Thai-style pineapple-flavoured rice. The cuts of pork chop are tender with rich tomato flavour, and the fried rice too. The big pieces of pork chop and fried rice made this dish rather hearty but is really good.

The Satay Beef & Egg Stir-Fried Rice Noodle (沙爹牛肉蛋炒肠粉) is of a smaller portion — great for pairing with another rice dish. The rice noodle / cheung fun (肠粉) is stir-fried with egg that added some crispy texture and wok-aroma to it. The beef, stir-fried in satay sauce, is smooth and very tender with nice satay flavour. It is a delightful dish.

The portion of some rice dishes at Golden Bowl 2.0 can be pretty big, so choose the dishes wisely to avoid over-eating or waste.
