Kopilicious's Taman Sentosa outlet is located at the eastern end of Jalan Sutera, closer to Mid Valley Southkey Shopping Centre. Kopilicious's main branch is in Taman Molek, the Taman Sentosa outlet is the second in Johor Bahru and a third branch is in Kulai District. Kopilicious serves Malaysian delights and their kopi-bing (iced kopi) is hailed as the best in Johor.
Kopilicious serves a wide range of toasts and sandwiches with different fillings. For main dishes, there are combinations of rice, nasi lemak and noodle dishes with rendang chicken, fried chicken, chicken chop and others. Curry mee, prawn mee, mee hoon kueh, rice bowls, porridge and vegan meals are also available.
Kopilicious’s traditional kopi-O is thick and aromatic. Since their kopi-bing is the "best in Johor", it is definitely a must-try. The iced coffee has a well-balanced taste between traditional kopi and condensed milk — and less sugar for me makes it even more delightful.
The Rendang Chicken Mee Siam (仁当鸡米暹) is served with a sunny side-up egg and sambal chilli. The big chicken thigh, well-cooked until tender, is covered in large amount of non-spicy rendang sauce. The mee Siam tastes good on its own and is even nicer after mixing with the rendang sauce. Spiciness of the dish can be enhanced by the spicy sambal chilli.
The Black Pepper Chicken Chop (黑胡椒酱鸡排) is one of the best chicken chops that I have ever tried. The tender chicken meat is well-fried, non-oily and the batter is not fried till too tough — it can be easily cut with just a butter knife. The black pepper sauce gives the chicken a nice and tasty flavour.
Kopilicious's dishes are delicious and reasonably priced and I am gamed to go for more, especially the other variants of chicken chop and their toasts and sandwiches.
