Ding Jian Hong Kong Style Charcoal Roasted (鼎尖港式炭烧烧腊) has several outlets in Singapore with two in Bukit Batok: one in Superluck Food Court — opposite Le Quest Mall in Bukit Batok West — and the other one is in Mei De Coffeeshop (美德咖啡店) in Bukit Batok East. The food stall serves rice / noodle dishes with charcoal roasted delights, including roasted pork, barbecue pork, roasted chicken and roasted duck.

The Dang Gui Duck Noodle (当归鸭面) uses thin egg noodle dry-tossed in their special sauce with pork lard and has a light herbal aroma. The roasted duck meat, neatly laid on the noodle with greens, is very tender with a hint of dang gui (angelica sinensis) aroma. The dish is really nice with distinctive herbal flavours.

The Char Siew Roasted Pork Rice (叉烧烧肉饭) is a dish to go for two roasted delights. The combination of lean barbecue pork and roasted pork on plain rice dribbled with a pleasant sauce. The barbecue pork is sweetened by its sauce with some crispiness from the charcoal-grilled outer layer. The roasted pork has firmer texture with crispy skin and not salty. It is a nice meaty dish.

The different combinations of charcoal-roasted delights at Ding Jian are sure to satisfy any cravings for a meaty meal.
