Gimee Face Noodle House (给面子) has several outlets across Singapore and two are in Bukit Batok — one in Sin Huat Lee Restaurant (新发利美食中心) in Bukit Gombak and another in Mei De Coffeeshop (美德咖啡店) in Bukit Batok East. The noodle house specialises in minced meat noodle dishes.

Gimme Face offers several types of bak chor mee (minced meat noodle) with different ingredients, fishball noodles or just soup without any noodle, and also side dishes.

The Original Pork Noodle (原味肉脞面) is served with varieties of porky ingredients — slices of lean pork, minced meat, slices of pig liver, a meat ball, fried pork lard — and slices of mushroom and mouth mushroom, spring onions, on mee pok (flat yellow noodle) that is dry-tossed in a delightful sauce. Other than fresh ingredients, the sauce is the key essence of the minced meat noodle and makes it a flavourful and tasty dish.

The Mala Spicy Pork Noodle (麻辣肉脞面) is served with the same set of ingredients on mee kia (thin egg noodle) that is tossed in mala sauce — I requested for normal spiciness (never go for high spiciness on first try). And, it is spicy indeed but has nice flavours. This is tasty and nice.

Ever wonder why the noodle house is called "Gimee Face"? It is pun intended! "Gimee Face" (给面子) sounds like "give me face" in English and has similar meaning in Chinese, but the Simplified Chinese character "面" also means "noodle", so "给面子" also means "give noodle".
