Kopifellas is a Singapore-founded company with 17 outlets in Singapore and 1 outlet in New York, USA (as on Jan 2025). The local brand aims "to preserve and promote Singapore’s local food heritage".
Kopifellas Cafe is a new cafe on level 2 of Plantation Plaza in the new Tengah estate. The outlet serves various noodle dishes, traditional toasts and beverages, especially traditional Nanyang coffee.

Kopifellas Cafe serves lor mee as their signature noodle dish — with an option for lor mee with smoked duck meat. There are laksa, curry noodle (new), minced meat noodle and fishball noodle / soup too. Although these dishes are traditional Nanyang dishes, neither pork nor lard are used. Pair the noodle dishes with a regular / large drink to make a set.

Kopifellas's traditional kopi-O kosong has a nice aroma, strong-bodied and not too acidic nor bitter — no need for milk or sugar that may make the coffee too sweet. Nanyang kopi has always been great beverages to accompany any dishes.
Traditional kopi with toasts and two soft-boiled eggs is a classic way to have breakfast in Nanyang. The Butter & Kaya Toasts are grilled till crispy and still retaining some softness of the bread. Kaya is thinly spread on the toasts with thick slabs of butter — sinfully enjoyable. The soft-boiled eggs are served ready-to-eat — without having to worry about the right timing to break open the eggs — and is nicely-done with beautiful big orange yolks.

The Smoked Duck Lor Mee, with handmade flat yellow noodle, is served with thick slices of smoked duck, half a braised egg and slices of non-pork lor bak (braised meat roll) in thick vinegary gravy and garnished with minced garlic, spring onion, coriander, crispy fried batter bits and sambal chilli (optional). The gravy — simmered with meat stock, egg and corn starch — has a nice viscosity that is not too starchy and easy to drink. The dish is delicious and even more so with the tender smoked duck meat.

The Laksa is added with prawns, fishcake slices, tofu puffs and half a hard-boiled egg on thick rice vermicelli and garnished with typical dried coriander flakes and sambal chilli. The coconut-milk-sweetened broth is easy to drink and flavourful with just-nice spiciness and further enhanced by the savoury sambal chilli. This is also a popular traditional dish to go for.

The Tuna Mayo Sandwich uses thick, fluffy white bread sandwiched with shredded tuna, mayonnaise and lettuce. It is light and taste nice without too much of the sinful mayonnaise.

Kopifellas Cafe is one of the cheaper alternatives to other restaurants and cafes in Plantation Plaza and a great place for traditional local delights.
