Ché Ani Chicken Rice is a Muslim-owned stall located in O² Cafe, a Muslim coffeeshop, below Block 134 in Bukit Batok West. The food stall serves a series of chicken dishes that use different styles of fried / grilled chicken with chicken rice, fried rice, claypot rice, noodle, porridge or roti john. All its dishes seem tasty.

Ché Ani's Chicken Rice is served with fried chicken meat on chicken-stock-flavoured rice with some greens and a bowl of soup garnished with coriander and fried shallots. The tender fried chicken has a nice flavour in its fried tasty skin. The accompanying chilli sauce is specially concocted with several condiments and is mellow sweet-sour-spicy in taste — very much like Vietnamese-style sauce but without savoury fish sauce. The pleasant-tasting sauce adds nice flavours to the chicken rice.

The Honeydew Chicken Noodle is served with a different style of honey-grilled chicken on springy thin noodle in a mellow sweet-savoury sauce. A scoop of tasty sambal chilli is added to add more flavours to the dish. The tender chicken meat has a nice flavour too. This is a unique dish that I have not tried before — and its bright orange colour is like the orange flesh of a honeydew.

There are always some surprises when dining at Ché Ani Chicken Rice. It is a nice place to go for different styles of chicken with different rice styles, noodle, porridge or roti john.
