Ji De Chi Dessert (记得吃甜品) is a well-known name for both traditional and modern desserts with numerous outlets across Singapore. It has 2 outlets in Bukit Batok: One in Le Quest and the other in the basement of West Mall. The outlet in Le Quest Shopping Centre is housed with Otter Pizza — both entities are under the same management, Otter Group — offering desserts and pizzas in one shop. The outlet in West Mall serves desserts only.

Ji De Chi Dessert serves a list of Oriental Flavours, including traditional almond paste, black sesame paste, walnut paste, yam paste, several flavours of double-skin milk, etc. There are also light snacks, including crepe cakes, Chinese pastries, fried snacks, etc, and a series of fruity snowy ice desserts.

Top-Left: The Yin-Yang Paste (鸳鸯黑白) is a 2-in-1 dessert with ultra-fine ground Almond Paste (杏仁糊) and Sesame Paste (芝麻糊) and having 3 flavours: almond, black sesame and mixed almond-sesame flavour. The paste is more on the viscous side, smooth, rich in flavours and mildly sweet.
Top-Right: The Almond Paste with Glutinous Rice (杏仁糊黑糯米) uses similar thick almond paste added with black glutinous rice (or pulut hitam). The black sticky rice adds its familiar mellow flavour to the mild-sweet almond paste.
Bottom-Left: The Walnut Paste (核桃糊), added-on with Tang Yuan (汤圆, 2 pcs), uses finely-ground walnut and also on the viscous side. It has nice walnut flavour without its bitterness. The tang yuan, or rice balls, have 2 flavours: black sesame filling in white rice ball and peanut filling in pink rice ball. The combo dessert is low in sweetness as usual.
Bottom-Right: The Yam Paste (芋泥), topped with small cuts of sweet potato and whole gingko, is very smooth, has natural yam flavour and of low sweetness too. The sweet potato cubes are nicely done with firm texture and not too soft. Both the sweet potato and gingko provide some biting pleasures for the dessert.

The Mango Yam Sticky Rice (芒果芋香糯米饭) comprises of black glutinous (sticky) rice, yam paste and Thai-style mango sticky rice served with coconut cream. The white sticky rice is served hot while the others are cold. The slab of fresh mango is juicy and sour-sweet. Both sticky rice and yam paste have natural flavours and unsweetened with the natural-sweetness of coconut cream being the only sweetener for the dessert. This is a nice dessert to try most of the ingredients available.

The traditional desserts at Ji De Chi Dessert are low in sweetness, healthier and suitable at any time of the day. When dining at the Le Quest outlet, the desserts are great to go with any pizzas.
