New Lucky Claypot Rice (新鸿运瓦煲饭), located in Holland Drive Market & Food Centre, is a food stall selling claypot rice dishes as its signature dishes. The stall is in the Singapore Michelin Guide since 2017.

New Lucky serves mainly claypot rice with chicken / Chinese sausage — i.e chicken-only, sausage-only or chicken with sausage. There are several stewed soup and vegetable dishes to go with the claypot rice too. The portion of each claypot rice is for at least 2 persons.

The Claypot Wu Wei Rice (瓦煲五味饭) is served with lots of smooth white chicken meat and cuts of Chinese sausage on well-cooked rice — we have two servings for 5 pax in total. The scorched rice — an essential aspect of eating claypot rice — have already been nicely formed on the inside of the claypots before being served.

The dark sauce and oil, in two separate pouring jars, are self-added to the dish as desired. The claypot dish is ready after mixing thoroughly. The chicken meat are smooth and tender with the Chinese sausage adding its aroma and sweet flavour to the dish. Some minced salted fish also added flavours to the rice that is already filled with claypot aroma. The scorched rice adds crispiness to the dish and enjoyable on its own too. The claypot rice is truly delicious!

When dining at New Lucky Claypot Rice, expect some waiting time for each order, especially during meal times.
