Cheng Heng Kway Chap & Braised Duck Rice (进兴粿汁卤鸭饭) serves two dishes, mainly kway chap and braised duck rice as highlighted in its name, but many of its customers will opt for kway chap with braised duck meat and some sides as a single dish. The stall, located in Holland Drive Market & Food Centre, is first recommended by the Singapore Michelin Guide in 2024.

Like most of Cheng Heng's customers, I have kway chap with braised duck meat too — along with two sides of a tau pok (tofu puff) and a piece of fishcake. The kway chap, added with braised duck broth and fried shallots (optional), has soft rice noodle and nice flavours. The braised duck meat is tender in well-seasoned soy marinade. There is no lingering hint of the dish being too sweet or salty after finishing it. They are indeed delicious.

Cheng Heng's kway chap with braised duck meat is really a must-try. I will try it again with rice next time. And avoid lunch time — if possible.
